Group A of Elisa Invitational has concluded with ENCE coming out on top in the team's debut with Elias "Jamppi" Olkkonen, while GODSENT have been eliminated.
The Finnish side put on an impressive performance in their first official appearance with Jamppi, who had been added to the roster as a sixth man earlier this month but only now got to play in the BLAST Showdown qualifier after sitting out Road to Rio due to his VAC ban issue.
Despite close first halves in their matches, ENCE managed to beat all three opponents in the round robin — GODSENT, Dignitas, and Apeks — with their newest addition, mainly used as a secondary AWPer on the Counter-Terrorist side, showcasing solid form as he averaged a 1.11 rating over the course of the three maps.
ENCE enjoyed a successful day at Elisa Invitational
Having topped Group A at Elisa Invitational, Aleksi "allu" Jalli and company have booked a direct ticket to the semi-finals and are a series victory away from qualifying to the BLAST Europe Showdown.
Meanwhile, Dignitas and Apeks placed second and third, respectively, which sees them advance to the quarter-finals. GODSENT, on the other hand, were unable to convert any of their three close matches in the group stage, leaving the tournament in last place.
